Hey all, glad you’re already reading my blog religiously. It’s somewhat expected: I am, indeed, somewhat interesting. More than that, the places I visit are interesting, and I’m looking to give you a little view into my travel life. Today, rather than give you a summary, I’m going to hit some highlights, as I’m very tired from traveling. So here:
- After a few celebratory glasses of Champagne, boarded a 5am plane on no sleep.
- Slept the on plane (and have neck cramps to prove it).
- Figured out how to take a bus after watching 7 buses pass.
- Found a hostel, much to the delight of my tired shoulders.
- Attended a protest of CAFTA and TLC (Tratado de Libre Comercio, to my dismay, and not, in fact, the band that sang “Waterfalls”).
- Had drinks and dinner with some guys from the hostel.
- Found out my hostel has wireless.
Also, I have met:
- a NYC cabbie from Haiti
- a couple from upstate NY traveling to Belize for vacation
- the Vice President of Chiquita Bananas
- a mother, her 3 kids and an uncle on their way to a cushy Costa Rican resort for a family wedding
- Rodrigo, who has been traveling since Februray. Of last year.
- Mike, who paints houses in Boston.
- Rodrigo’s new friend and her boyfriend (I don’t remember their names)
- Dominic, who despite having a name with a negative connotation, seems like a good guy.
- 31 prostitutes. They’re everywhere.
Now I sleep, but don’t forget to check out my photos (I’ll figure out putting them here later).

Of course we all have been reading this site, in fact I just can’t keep myself from reloading it 50 times a day.
Anyways your travel plans sound great! I have never really seen much of south and central america, so I am eagor to read about yours!
those prostitutes have adams’ apples’. be wary.
